Preparation Instructions

1

Muddle the Mint and Lime

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and the whole lime cut into wedges. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves and lime to release their juices and essential oils. Be careful not to tear the mint leaves too much.

2

Add Sugar

Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the muddled mint and lime. Use the muddler again to mix the sugar with the muddled ingredients, ensuring the sugar dissolves slightly.

3

Mix in Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass or shaker with the muddled mint, lime, and sugar mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, packing them in to keep the drink cold.

5

Top with Soda Water

Pour the soda water over the ice, filling the glass to the top. Use a spoon or straw to gently stir the drink, mixing everything together.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and an additional lime wedge, if desired. Serve immediately with a straw or a stirring stick.
