Preparation Instructions
Muddle the Mint and Lime
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and the whole lime cut into wedges. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves and lime to release their juices and essential oils. Be careful not to tear the mint leaves too much.
Add Sugar
Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the muddled mint and lime. Use the muddler again to mix the sugar with the muddled ingredients, ensuring the sugar dissolves slightly.
Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes, packing them in to keep the drink cold.
Garnish and Serve
Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and an additional lime wedge, if desired. Serve immediately with a straw or a stirring stick.
