Method
For the Buffalo Wings
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
Bake the Wings
Place the seasoned wings on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
Make the Sauce
While the wings are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the hot sauce and garlic powder until well combined.
Toss the Wings in Sauce
Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss until all wings are well coated.
For the Blue Cheese Dressing
Prepare the Dressing
In a medium bowl, combine the blue cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Mix Until Smooth
Use a fork or whisk to mix the ingredients until the dressing is smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Chill the Dressing
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
