Method
Pancake Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar until well combined.
- 2
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg, and melted unsalted butter together until thoroughly mixed.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 4
Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with a small amount of butter.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/3 cup of the pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Flip and Finish Cooking
Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
