Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Bring the New York Strip Steak to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. Pat it dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the steak with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Herb Butter

  1. 5

    Make the Herb Butter

In a small bowl, combine unsalted butter, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, and minced garlic. Mix until well combined.

  2. 6

    Chill the Herb Butter

Transfer the herb butter mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap, roll it into a log shape, and refrigerate until firm.

Truffle Parmesan Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil and salt in a bowl.

  2. 8

    Bake the Fries

Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.

  3. 9

    Add Truffle and Parmesan

Once baked, drizzle truffle oil over the fries and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine.

Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 10

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add trimmed asparagus and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

  2. 11

    Season the Vegetables

Season with salt and black pepper to taste before serving.
