Cook the Pappardelle Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 12 oz of pappardelle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Blackened Chicken
In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a blackened crust. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.
Parmesan Cream Sauce

Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, lower the heat and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
