Tortilla
Pork Belly
Sweet Chili Glaze
Red Cabbage Slaw
Method
Preparing the Pork Belly
- 1
Season the Pork Belly
Rub the pork belly with salt and black pepper evenly on all sides.
- 2
Cook the Pork Belly
In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and add the pork belly. Sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Lower the heat and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, ensuring it is cooked through and tender. Remove from heat and let it rest before slicing.
Making the Sweet Chili Glaze
- 3
Combine the Glaze Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice until well combined.
Preparing the Red Cabbage Slaw
- 4
Shred the Vegetables
Thinly slice the red cabbage and grate the carrot. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrot, and chopped cilantro.
- 5
Dress the Slaw
Drizzle the rice vinegar and sprinkle the salt over the slaw mixture. Toss well to combine and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Assembling the Dish
- 6
Heat the Tortillas
Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until soft.
- 7
Build the Wrap
Slice the rested pork belly into thin pieces. On each tortilla, layer the sliced pork belly, drizzle with the sweet chili glaze, and top with the red cabbage slaw.
- 8
Serve
Fold the tortilla over the filling and serve immediately. Enjoy your vegetarian-style dish featuring pork belly!
