Method

Prepare Hazelnut Filling

  1. 1

    Toast the Hazelnuts

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the raw hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Once done, let them cool.

  2. 2

    Make the Filling

In a bowl, combine the toasted hazelnuts, Nutella, and milk powder. Mix until well combined, then form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) with your hands. Place them on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare Chocolate Coating

  1. 3

    Melt the Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.

Coat the Balls

  1. 4

    Dip the Filling Balls

Take the chilled hazelnut filling balls out of the refrigerator. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, making sure they are fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.

  2. 5

    Chill Again

Place the chocolate-coated balls back on the tray and refrigerate for another 15 minutes to set the chocolate.

Prepare Outer Layer

  1. 6

    Mix the Outer Layer

In a bowl, mix the crushed biscuits, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar until combined. Take the chilled chocolate-coated balls and roll them in this mixture until fully covered.

Decoration

  1. 7

    Decorate with Pistachios

Roll the coated balls in chopped pistachios for an added crunch and a pop of color. If desired, place edible flowers on top for an elegant touch.
