Churro Dough

For Frying

For Coating

Method

Churro Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Add Flour

Once boiling, remove from heat and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

  3. 3

    Cool and Add Eggs

Let the dough cool for about 5 minutes. Then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

  4. 4

    Flavoring

Stir in the cinnamon until evenly distributed in the dough.

Frying Churros

  1. 5

    Heat Oil

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Pipe Churros

Transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length with scissors.

  3. 7

    Fry Until Golden

Fry the churros for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan.

  4. 8

    Drain

Use a slotted spoon to remove the churros from the oil and drain them on paper towels.

Coating Churros

  1. 9

    Mix Sugar and Cinnamon

In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together.

  2. 10

    Coat Churros

While the churros are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
