Method
Preparation of Ingredients
- 1
Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under cold water. If using heirloom tomatoes, slice them into thick rounds. If using cherry tomatoes, halve them.
- 2
Prepare the Basil
Rinse the basil leaves gently and pat them dry with a paper towel. Set aside.
- 3
Prepare the Burrata
Carefully open the burrata packaging. Drain any excess liquid and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving for better flavor.
Toast Preparation
- 4
Toast the Bread
Preheat a grill pan or toaster. Place the slices of bread in the pan and toast them until golden brown on both sides.
- 5
Garlic Rub
Once the bread is toasted, rub one side of each slice with a halved garlic clove for flavor. Sprinkle a pinch of salt to taste.
Assembly
- 6
Assemble the Dish
On each slice of toast, place a generous portion of the sliced tomatoes. Then, add a piece of burrata on top of the tomatoes.
- 7
Finish with EVO and Balsamic Glaze
Drizzle extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze over the assembled toast. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
- 8
Serve
Serve the burrata and tomato toast immediately while the toast is still warm. Enjoy!
