Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink, then remove and set aside. Repeat with the calamari and octopus, cooking for 1-2 minutes until tender.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, lime juice, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasoning to taste. This will be your spicy tomato sauce.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large serving bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, octopus, calamari, avocado, cucumber, red onion, and cilantro. Pour the spicy tomato sauce over the seafood mixture and gently toss to combine.

  4. 4

    Serve

Chill the cocktail in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve cold with tortilla chips or on its own.
