Hot Chicken Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, mix flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Dredge the Chicken
Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, coating thoroughly. Shake off excess flour.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated chicken pieces. Fry for 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve
Serve the hot chicken immediately, optionally drizzled with additional hot sauce.
