Buffalo Chicken Wings Ingredients
Method
Buffalo Chicken Wings Directions
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. If desired, you can separate the wings into drumettes and flats.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Make the Buffalo Sauce
While the wings are frying, melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the hot sauce until well combined.
- 6
Toss in Sauce
Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. While they are still hot, toss the wings in the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
- 7
Serve
Serve the buffalo chicken wings hot with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.
