Meatballs

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Make the Meatballs

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, eggs, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and red wine until well combined. Form into golf ball-sized meatballs.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meatballs

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Marinara Sauce

In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Add the browned meatballs to the marinara sauce and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Cook the Spaghetti

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  6. 6

    Prepare Garlic Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix together softened butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Spread on cut sides of French bread. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until golden.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and marinara sauce, alongside garlic bread.
