Bistro Chips Preparation

1. Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Slice them thinly (about 1/8 inch thick) using a mandoline or a sharp knife.

2. Soak the Potato Slices

Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch and ensures crispiness.

3. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

4. Season the Chips

Drain the soaked potato slices and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, sea salt, chopped rosemary, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.

5. Bake the Chips

Spread the seasoned potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through the baking time.

6. Cool and Serve

Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Bistro Chips warm or at room temperature!
