Method

Sandwich Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna Mixture

In a bowl, combine the canned tuna, mayonnaise, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread the tuna mixture evenly on two slices of sourdough bread. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and jalapeno slices. Place the remaining slices of bread on top.

  3. 3

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes. Flip the sandwiches, add the remaining butter, and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes more.

Potato Chips Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Heat the oil in a deep fryer or a heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Potato Chips

Fry the thinly sliced potatoes in batches until they are golden and crisp, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  3. 6

    Season the Chips

While still warm, sprinkle the hot potato chips with salt to taste.
