Method
Fish Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Fish
In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the fish fillets and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 2
Cook the Fish
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cabbage Slaw Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine the finely shredded green cabbage, grated carrot, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Toss to combine well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
Crema Preparation
- 4
Make the Crema
In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt to taste. Stir until smooth and combined.
Taco Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Tacos
Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. To assemble each taco, place a portion of the cooked fish on a tortilla, top with cabbage slaw, and drizzle with crema. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
