Method

Preparation of Seafood

1

Prepare the Shrimp

In a medium bowl, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. If desired, you can cut them in half for easier eating.

2

Prepare the Fish

In the same bowl, add the bite-sized pieces of fresh fish fillets. Mix gently to combine with the shrimp.

Marinade

3

Combine Marinade Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine the fresh lime juice, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, minced garlic, and salt. Mix well.

4

Marinate the Seafood

Pour the marinade over the seafood mixture. Stir gently to ensure all the seafood is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Garnishing and Serving

5

Prepare Garnishes

While the seafood is marinating, prepare the garnishes. Thinly slice the cucumber and red onion, and dice the avocado.

6

Serve Aguachile

After the seafood has marinated (it should look opaque), serve it in bowls. Top with the garnishes of cucumber, red onion, and avocado. Enjoy fresh with tortilla chips or on its own.
