Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Roast the Bell Pepper

Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Place the whole red bell pepper on the grill or in the oven and roast until the skin is charred and blistered, turning occasionally. This should take about 15 minutes. Once done, remove and place in a bowl covered with plastic wrap for 10 minutes to steam.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tuna

While the pepper is roasting, season the tuna steaks with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Drizzle with olive oil and set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Balsamic Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, and chopped fresh parsley. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Peel the Roasted Pepper

Once the roasted pepper has cooled, peel off the charred skin, remove the seeds, and slice it into strips.

  5. 5

    Grill the Tuna

Grill the marinated tuna steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.

  6. 6

    Serve

On a plate, place the grilled tuna steak, top with strips of roasted pepper, and drizzle generously with the balsamic sauce. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
