Seafood and Broth

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Base

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Aromatics

Stir in minced garlic and diced red bell pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Create the Broth

Add crushed tomatoes, fish stock (or clam juice), and white wine to the pot. Stir to combine.

  4. 4

    Season the Stew

Add bay leaves, red pepper flakes, and season with salt and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Add Seafood

Once simmering, add shrimp, clams, mussels, and market fish. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams and mussels open up and the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove from heat, discard any unopened clams or mussels. Stir in chopped parsley and serve hot with crusty bread.
