Cocktail Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Start by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing glass, combine 1 cup of rye whiskey or bourbon, 1 cup of sweet vermouth, and 1 cup of Campari. Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes.

  3. 3

    Stir the Cocktail

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Glass

Empty the ice water from your chilled cocktail glass.

  5. 5

    Strain the Cocktail

Using a strainer, pour the mixed cocktail into the chilled glass, ensuring that no ice cubes make it into the final drink.

  6. 6

    Garnish the Drink

Twist an orange peel over the drink to release its oils and then place it in the glass as a garnish.

  7. 7

    Serve

Your Boulevardier cocktail is now ready to be served. Enjoy responsibly!
