Mojito Directions
- 1
Prepare the Mint
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press the mint leaves to release their oils and aroma. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.
- 2
Add Sugar and Lime Juice
Add the granulated sugar and lime juice to the glass with the muddled mint. Stir gently until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
- 3
Mix in the Rum
Pour the white rum into the mixture, and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- 4
Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.
- 5
Top with Soda Water
Slowly pour soda water over the ice until the glass is full. Use a spoon to stir lightly to mix the soda water with the other ingredients.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Garnish your mojito with lime wedges and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately with a straw.
