BBQ Burger Ingredients

Method

BBQ Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients for the BBQ burger. Finely slice the onion and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Caramelize the Onions

In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the sliced onion. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

    Form the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  5. 5

    Cook the Beef Patties

Heat the olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly on the skillet. Spread barbecue sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on each bun, followed by caramelized onions and crispy bacon. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the BBQ burgers immediately with your choice of side dishes.
