Taco Shell Preparation

Preparing Soft Tortillas
Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Preparing Crispy Tortillas
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.

Cooking Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and add taco seasoning. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.

Preparing Shredded Chicken
Cook the chicken in boiling water for about 20 minutes until fully cooked. Shred with two forks and mix with taco seasoning.

Heating Refried Beans
In a small saucepan, heat the refried beans over low heat until warm, stirring occasionally.

Assembling Tacos
Take a tortilla shell and fill it with your choice of filling - ground beef, shredded chicken, or refried beans. Top with chopped tomatoes, sautéed vegetables, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

Adding Avocado and Sauce
Add sliced avocado on top of the assembled taco. Drizzle with taco sauce made by mixing tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped cilantro.

Serve tacos immediately with extra toppings on the side for guests to customize their tacos.
