Method
For the Jerk Chicken Wings
- 1
Marinate the Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice, thyme, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, lime juice, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Mix well to create a marinade.
- 2
Coat the Chicken Wings
Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Ensure all wings are well covered. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.
- 4
Bake the Chicken Wings
Arrange the marinated chicken wings on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and cooked through, turning them halfway through the cooking time.
For the Ranch Dressing
- 5
Prepare the Ranch Dressing
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.
- 6
Chill the Dressing
Cover the ranch dressing with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
- 7
Serve the Wings
Once the chicken wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve hot with the chilled ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
