Preparation of Fries

Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Dry the Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Heat the Oil
In a large heavy-bottomed pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato strips into the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while hot.

Season the Steak
Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Sear the Steak
Add the seasoned steaks to the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
