Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Toss well to ensure the wings are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, prepare the breading station. In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In the third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.

Breading and Cooking

  1. 3

    Bread the Wings

Take each wing and first dip it into the flour, shaking off the excess. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the wing in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere. Place the breaded wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 4

    Bake or Fry the Wings

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). If baking, place the wings in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Alternatively, heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C) and fry the wings in batches for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Saucing

  1. 5

    Sauce the Wings

Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven or fryer. In a large bowl, toss the wings with your choice of BBQ sauce, mango habanero sauce, or sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning until evenly coated.

  2. 6

    Serve

Transfer the sauced wings to a serving platter and enjoy while hot. Serve with additional sauce on the side, if desired.
