Prepare the Jalapeños
Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat. Set aside.

Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, bacon bits, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Stuff the Jalapeños
Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, packing it in tightly.
Breading and Frying

In a shallow dish, beat the egg. In another dish, place the bread crumbs.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Fry the Poppers
Carefully place the breaded jalapeños in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
