Method
Prepare the Pasta
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt and the fettuccine pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Chicken
- 2
Season and Grill Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tbs of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper, mixing until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Combine and Serve
- 4
Toss Pasta and Serve
In a large mixing bowl or directly in the pot with the pasta, combine the cooked fettuccine and Alfredo sauce, tossing well to coat the pasta. Slice the grilled chicken and arrange it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
