Method

Preparation of Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine. Form the mixture into a patty, about 3/4-inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 3

    Prepare the Bun

Slice the burger bun in half and place the bottom half on a plate.

  2. 4

    Add the Patty

Once the patty is cooked, place it on the bottom half of the bun.

  3. 5

    Layer the Toppings

On top of the patty, add a slice of cheddar cheese, some lettuce, a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, and pickles. Add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to taste.

  4. 6

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun over the toppings to complete the burger.
