Method

For the Carnitas

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

  2. 2

    Cook the Carnitas

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily with a fork.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.

For the Fire-Roasted Salsa

  1. 4

    Roast the Ingredients

On a grill or under the broiler, roast the tomatoes, jalapeño, and onion until charred.

  2. 5

    Blend the Salsa

In a blender, combine the roasted vegetables with cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.

For the Chipotle Crema

  1. 6

    Prepare the Chipotle Crema

In a small bowl, combine sour cream, chopped chipotle peppers, and lime juice. Mix until well combined.

For Assembly
