Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Infuse the Tequila

In a clean glass jar, combine 2 cups of tequila with 1-2 sliced jalapeños. Seal the jar tightly and let it sit at room temperature for 24-48 hours, depending on your spice preference. Strain the tequila to remove the jalapeño slices before using.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Glass

Take a highball glass and rub the rim with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into a plate of sea salt to coat it evenly. Fill the glass with ice cubes.

Mixing the Cocktail

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño-infused tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

  2. 4

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into the prepared highball glass filled with ice. Ensure the salt rim is intact and the cocktail is poured evenly.

Garnishing

  1. 5

    Add Final Touches

Garnish the drink with a fresh grapefruit slice and a jalapeño slice on top for an extra kick.
