Brazilian Salsa

Method

Salmon Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C). Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon fillets. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven. Grill or bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Jalapeño Dressing Preparation

  1. 4

    Blend the Dressing

In a blender, combine the jalapeño pepper (seeded for less heat if desired), garlic cloves, lime juice, honey, olive oil, and salt. Blend until smooth.

  2. 5

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lime juice according to your preference.

Brazilian Salsa Preparation

  1. 6

    Chop the Vegetables

Dice the tomatoes and red onion. Finely chop the cilantro.

  2. 7

    Mix the Salsa

In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well and let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
