Cooking the Protein

Cook the Chorizo
Remove the chorizo from its casing and crumble it into a skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
Preparing the Beans

Heat the Black Beans
Drain and rinse the black beans. In a small saucepan, heat the beans over medium heat for about 5 minutes until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Prepare the Plantains
Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the plantains for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assembling the Bowl

Combine All Ingredients
In a large bowl, layer the sliced flank steak, cooked chorizo, black beans, pico de gallo, fried plantains, and sliced avocado. Top with fresh cilantro before serving.
