Directions
1. Prepare the Mixing Glass
Begin by filling a mixing glass with ice cubes to chill it while you prepare the cocktail.
2. Add the Ingredients
Pour in 2 oz of Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila, followed by 0.5 oz of 400 Conejos Anejo Mezcal. Add 0.25 oz of agave syrup and 2 dashes of chocolate bitters to the mixing glass.
3. Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds. This will chill and dilute the cocktail to the desired consistency.
4. Prepare the Glass
Take a rocks glass or an old-fashioned glass and remove the ice. You can rinse the glass with cold water and dry it to ensure it’s chilled.
5. Strain the Cocktail
Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the stirred cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice cubes.
6. Garnish
Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the top of the drink, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
7. Serve
Your Jalisco Old Fashioned is now ready to be enjoyed. Sip slowly and savor the flavors.
