Octopus

Avocado Puree

Method

Preparing the Octopus

  1. 1

    Clean the Octopus

Rinse the octopus under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned octopus and coat evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

  3. 3

    Grill the Octopus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and tender. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Making the Avocado Puree

  1. 4

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender.

  2. 5

    Blend Ingredients

Add lime juice and salt to the blender with the avocado. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Preparing the Salsa Macha

  1. 6

    Soak the Dried Chilies

Remove the stems and seeds from the dried chilies. Soak them in hot water for about 15 minutes until softened.

  2. 7

    Blend Salsa Macha

In a blender, combine the soaked chilies, garlic, olive oil, and salt. Blend until it reaches a smooth consistency. Stir in sesame seeds after blending.
