Prepare Ginger
Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger. Measure 0.5 oz using a kitchen scale or measuring spoon.

Juice the Lemon
Squeeze fresh lemons until you have 0.75 oz of fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp if necessary.

Measure Passionfruit Purée
If using fresh passionfruit, scoop out the pulp and blend until smooth to yield 1 oz of passionfruit purée.
Mixing the Drink

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of aged rum, 0.5 oz of falernum, 1 oz of passionfruit purée, 0.75 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz of grated ginger.

Shake and Chill
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Serving

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass or coupe. Use a fine mesh strainer if necessary to catch any ginger fibers.

Garnish
Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim of the glass and scatter 5 fresh mint leaves on top for aroma.
