Melt the Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the unsweetened chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt together in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- 3
Mix in Sugar
Add the granulated sugar to the melted chocolate and butter mixture. Stir until well combined and smooth.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Whisk in the eggs and egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing until smooth.
- 5
Incorporate Flour
Gently fold in the tablespoon of flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Baking
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- 7
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. The edges should be firm, but the center will remain soft.
- 8
Cool Slightly
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 1-2 minutes. Run a knife around the edges to loosen.
