Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix with your hands until just combined. Form into two 8oz patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Add a slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.

CHICA Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the CHICA Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lime juice, and garlic powder until well combined. Adjust the spice level by adding more sriracha if desired.

Burger Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and slice the lettuce, tomato, and onion. For the tomato, slice it into thick rounds, and for the onion, slice it into thin rings.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Spread a generous amount of CHICA sauce on the bottom bun, place the cheese-topped patty on top, add lettuce, tomato, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Fries

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
