Preparation of Saline Solution

Make Saline Solution
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 tsp of sea salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the salt is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. This will be your saline solution.
Mixing the Cocktail

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Los Vecinos Mezcal, 0.5 oz of Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, 1 oz of passion fruit puree, and 0.75 oz of fresh lime juice.

Add Saline Solution
Add a dash (approximately 1/4 tsp) of the saline solution to the shaker for enhanced flavor balance.

Shake and Chill
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Optionally, garnish with a twist of lime or a slice of passion fruit.
