Tuna Steak

Method

Preparing the Salsa

  1. 1

    Make the Anchovy Olive Salsa

In a bowl, combine the chopped black olives, minced garlic, chopped capers, chopped parsley, anchovy fillets (chopped), olive oil, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are combined. Set aside to let the flavors meld.

Cooking the Tuna

  1. 2

    Sear the Tuna Steaks

Pat the yellowfin tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over high heat until very hot. Add the tuna steaks and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Adjust cooking time to preference.

  2. 3

    Serve

Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and let rest for a minute. Serve the seared tuna topped with the anchovy olive salsa and a drizzle of lemon juice.
