Filet of Cherne with Passion Fruit Chili Glaze
Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Glaze
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine passion fruit juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Prepare the Fish
Season the cherne filets with salt and black pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Cook the Fish
Once the oil is hot, add the filets to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
4. Glaze the Fish
During the last minute of cooking, pour the passion fruit chili glaze over the fish and let it cook for an additional minute to allow the flavors to meld.
5. Serve
Remove the fish from the skillet and place on a serving dish. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan over the top and garnish with fresh cilantro.
