Natas do Ceu Ingredients

Method

Natas do Ceu Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lady Fingers

In a shallow dish, combine the almond liqueur and water. Quickly dip the lady fingers into the mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy. Layer the soaked lady fingers at the bottom of a serving dish.

  2. 2

    Make the Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until pale and creamy. Gently fold the whipped cream into the egg mixture until well combined.

  3. 3

    Layer the Cream

Spread the cream mixture over the layer of lady fingers evenly. Repeat the process if you have more lady fingers and cream, creating multiple layers.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Egg Nectar

In a small saucepan, combine the remaining egg yolks and sugar, whisking until combined. Gradually stir in a small amount of water and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dessert

Drizzle the egg nectar over the top of the layered cream and lady fingers. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

  6. 6

    Serve

Cut into squares or serve in individual bowls, and enjoy your Natas do Ceu!
