Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk them together until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; small lumps are okay.

  2. 4

    Preheat Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can lightly grease it with a bit of butter or cooking spray if desired.

  3. 5

    Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 6

    Serve

Remove pancakes from the skillet and keep them warm. Serve with maple syrup and fresh berries on top.
