Method
Crust
- 1
Prepare the crust
In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- 2
Pre-bake the crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
Cheesecake Filling
- 3
Mix the filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the sugar and continue to beat until combined.
- 4
Add remaining ingredients
Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs (one at a time). Mix until just combined, then fold in the flour until smooth.
- 5
Bake the cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the pre-baked crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour.
- 6
Chill the cheesecake
Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set completely.
Strawberry Sauce
- 7
Prepare the strawberry sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook until the strawberries release their juices and the sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.
- 8
Cool the sauce
Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool before serving.
Caramel Macadamia Nut Topping
- 9
Prepare the topping
In a small bowl, combine the caramel sauce and chopped macadamia nuts. Mix well.
