Preparation

For the Sliders

1. Prepare the Prime Rib

If not already cooked, roast the prime rib to your desired doneness. Let it rest for 20 minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain into small pieces.

2. Caramelize the Onions

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 2 large sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20-30 minutes until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.

3. Assemble the Sliders

Slice the slider buns in half and layer the bottom half with a slice of jack cheese, followed by a generous portion of the sliced prime rib, a spoonful of caramelized onions, and finally another slice of jack cheese on top. Place the top half of the bun on each slider.

4. Melt the Cheese

Preheat an oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly toasted.

For the Horseradish Cream

5. Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, prepared horseradish, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined and smooth.

6. Serve the Sliders

Once the sliders are out of the oven, serve them hot with a generous dollop of horseradish cream on the side or spread on the top bun.
