Seafood Carbonara Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the bucatini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the pan.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Seafood

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Then add shrimp, crab meat, and crawfish tails. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked pasta, diced tomato, and green peas to the skillet. Toss to combine and heat through.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Cream Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add reserved pasta water to reach the desired sauce consistency.

  6. 6

    Mix Everything Together

Remove the skillet from heat and quickly pour the cream sauce over the pasta mixture, tossing to combine and create a creamy texture. Add bacon back to the dish.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper if desired.
