Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chuck beef with cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the seasoned beef into two equal portions and form into patties, about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until cooked to your desired level.

  4. 4

    Add the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place Maytag Bleu cheese on top of the patties to melt.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly in a separate pan or on a grill until golden.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted bleu cheese, a slice of Beefsteak tomato, and a generous amount of flash-fried onion strings. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the burgers with house-cut fries on the side.
