Pancake Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, 1 tbsp of sugar, and 1 tsp of salt. Whisk together until well blended.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Heat the Griddle
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

Cook Pancakes
Pour small amounts of batter (about 2-3 tablespoons) onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.

Flip and Finish Cooking
Flip the pancakes carefully and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Repeat until all batter is used.

Cook Bacon or Sausage
In a separate skillet, cook 2 strips of bacon or 1 sausage patty over medium heat until crispy and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Serving

Plate and Serve
Stack 5 silver dollar pancakes on a plate. Top with 2 tbsp of butter and drizzle with 0.5 cup of maple syrup. Serve alongside the cooked bacon or sausage.
