Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients and ensure the corned beef is sliced, the Swiss cheese is ready, and the sauerkraut is drained.

Assembly

  1. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Take two slices of marble rye bread and spread 1 tablespoon of Russian dressing on each slice. Layer with half of the corned beef, followed by half of the Swiss cheese, and half of the sauerkraut. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, ending with a slice of bread on top.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Spread softened butter on the outside of the sandwich. Once the skillet is hot, place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.

Serving

  1. 4

    Serve the Reuben

Once grilled to perfection, remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot with additional Russian dressing on the side if desired.
