Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a tomato slice, the cooked patty, and then the top half of the bun. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your classic seasoned hamburger!
